In the cold winter, vehicle maintenance is undoubtedly the most concerned topic for car owners. After the vehicle has passed the warranty period, some faults will inevitably occur.Cars need to be “three-point repair, seven-point maintenance”, through active inspection and maintenance, to find and eliminate some initial, potential, hidden faults.

Pay more attention when parking and starting the vehicle

Try to avoid parking the vehicle at the tuyere when parking at night, because the vehicles are made of metal, especially inside the engine cylinder. After a night of blowing and low temperature, the heat absorption and conductivity of the metal will cause frost inside the engine. The internal temperature will drop very low, which will not only bring great difficulty to the start of the engine, but also damage the engine itself. Therefore, after starting the vehicle in winter, try not to drive or hit the throttle immediately, because the oil should be transported to various parts through the oil pump. If it is not well lubricated, it will drive and accelerate, which will cause serious damage to the various parts of the vehicle.

Eliminate the fog, check the light often, pay attention to the line of sight

The most common problem in winter driving is the fog in the glass inside the car, which makes the owner’s line of sight blurred, which brings hidden dangers to driving safety. At this time, the temperature knob can be placed in the warm air position to achieve the purpose of both defogging and heating. The lighting inspection mainly includes fog lights, headlights, high-position brake lights, etc. Once the blackened light bulb is found, it should be replaced as soon as possible. Ordinary halogen headlights generally reduce light after two years, and if you want to modify xenon headlights, the color temperature should be between 5000 and 6000K. Because, the higher the color temperature, the lower the penetration of light in dense fog, and the greater the safety hazard.

Pay attention to tire maintenance in winter

Tire rubber will harden and be relatively brittle in winter, and the friction coefficient will decrease, so the tire pressure should not be too high, but it should not be too low. The outside temperature is low, the tire pressure is too low, and the soft tire will accelerate the aging of the tire. In winter, the inclusions in the tread should be cleaned frequently. Try to avoid using tires that have been replenished more than once, and replace tires with large wear and different brands. The internal and external wear of the tire is very different. To ensure safety and reduce wear, the tire should be replaced regularly.
